The Internet has provided photographers the opportunity to show their work
without solicitation. True Image Photography has taken advantage of this
by creating this small showcase. Tommy believes there is room for all
photographers in this world of fashion, wedding, events and modeling. A client
should always pay for the best photographer they can afford. True Image
Photography is committed to providing clients with images that last a lifetime.
Tommy was a student at Tuskegee University at the time he
became interested in photography. Tommy purchased his first camera, a
Nikon FG-20 after he viewed a photo taken by a friend and the person looked
better on the photo than in person. The photographer didn't touch up the photo
and the subject didn't have on tons of make-up, the photographer just caught her
at the right time. Tommy continued to play around with his new found toy for a
few years. During these years he was "a guy with a 35 mm camera."
After marrying the love of his life, Tamera, returning from a brief stay in
Germany, and pressure from photo lab technicians, Tommy decided to make a little
income with his hobby. In 1993, every mall in America had a "mall" studio. Teens and young adults were beating down the doors to get
these images. Tommy shot a client's photo after she had just purchased $500.00
worth of mall studio prints. When the photos arrived from the lab, the
client showed them to her boyfriend and mother and the words that came out of
their mouths became the name of my business. They both said, "these
are True Images of you......those "mall" photos look FAKE." Tommy ordered
his first set of business cards the next day.....True Image Photography was
born.
